Hi Everyone

On Saturday 2nd June we will be having a maintenance day at the wood. We would like to encourage as many members as possible to attend, it’s a good opportunity to meet other members and see what goes in to maintaining a field archery course. If you haven’t visited our woodland before, it’s also a good opportunity to familiarise yourself with the layout of the course and the terrain.

We will be gathering at 10am around the gazebo at the bottom of the wood. If you can’t make it for 10am, there will be people at the wood for most of the day, so if you can only spare a couple of hours feel free to arrive at any time.

If you have any gloves, gardening tools or any other tools you think will be useful around the wood, please bring them along.

As there will be people working in the wood, this does mean that the wood will not be available for any practice on the day.

If you haven’t been to the wood before, the wood is located in Belper at the very end of a long Wyver Lane, so please keep following the track to the end. The postcode is DE56 2UB, OS Grid SK3449,Longitude 1.491° Latitude 53.046°

There will be a club shoot held at the wood on the second Saturday of every month throughout 2017.

Members wishing to participate should be at the wood for 9:30am ready to start shooting at 10:00am.

Hello all,

The other day I was met by the horse owners opposite the wood where I and others park our cars, with a request to stop parking there until the horses have been collect and transported south.

Can I ask you comply for the next 3 weeks apparently they are unsure when this wil take place. If yo park on the top grass left side of gate please.

If the horse drinking tubs have gone by the fence and the horses are nowhere to be seen (2 large hand and dark almost shire looking) then parking can resume as before)

p.s. new members not on this list need to be told verbally, i.e. Mary Jones whom I told the other day and any guests anybody takes to the wood, so if you see anyone parking there please pass on this message

All members of Artemis Archers have been invited to a SURPRISE 21st Birthday party for Tony Haynes.

The party is on the 30th December 2012 and starts at 7:30pm. The venue is a smallholding near the Pride Park Archers shoot ground in Coxbench, Derby. The venue will be signposted from the A38 and Little Eaton.

There is camping available at the site and there will be a firework finale to the party.
